Supersonic Fitness – Member of the Month
Here at Supersonic Fitness in York, we love to shout about our amazing gym members, so here is December’s member of the month … Olivia Brabbs!!
It was a ‘hands down’ vote from the team to nominate Olivia.
Olivia is one of our Studio Jam (unlimited class) members, she is always friendly and upbeat and feels like one of the family at Supersonic! She works really hard in her classes, always with a smile on her face and she always takes any exercise advice we give her on board so that she can optimise her workouts. To be member of the month is truly deserved!
In addition to sharing what the team think about Olivia, we also thought we’d share Olivia’s Supersonic journey so far……
Why do you enjoy coming to Supersonic?
I love the friendly, down to earth atmosphere at Supersonic. Everyone I’ve met – both staff and members – are so lovely. I’ve been to gyms in the past with a really intimidating vibe – it’s the complete opposite at Supersonic.
Which is your favourite class?
It’s really hard to pick a favourite class as I love the variety available. I really love the Dynamic Yoga class with Marci and the Super 60 sessions are challenging but fun.
Why does coming to Supersonic keep you motivated with your healthy lifestyle?
Before coming across Supersonic I had got myself into an exercise rut. I’m a freelance photographer so don’t have a standard working week. I’m also juggling work with Mum roles too. I found that a lot of gyms were very restricted in the timings of classes offered with a focus on after work evening timings so I found it all too easy to skip exercise. I love the choice and flexibility available through the Supersonic timetable. This has finally allowed me to stick to and enjoy an exercise routine. I’ve been feeling much healthier since joining up and definitely have more energy. I love the cafe too which also fits perfectly with my freelancer lifestyle.
Why do you enjoy your Studio Jam membership?
I’m personally not a gym fan so find that exercising in a class environment works so well for me. I definitely push myself so much more than I would at the gym and it’s great to have the support of the staff and other members. Variety is also key for me and picking a range of classes including yoga and more circuits / weight training sessions means I never get bored.
